The Other F Word is a documentary that introduces to viewers prominent Los Angeles punk bands from the last 30 plus years. It then brings members of these bands to current day, showing these musicians as they are now fathers. Punk rock and fatherhood are two seemingly conflicting lifestyles and it's very interesting to see how the characters in this movie navigate and balance the two responsibilities.
One of the highlights of the movie for me was the segment featuring Art Alexakis of Everclear. Everclear has a number of songs which deal with kids and the hurt involved when parents are not there for their children. These songs come from Art Alexakis's personal experience. He sings one of these songs, Father of Mine (one of Everclear's bigger hits), acoustically in the movie.
